From the Chair

It is impossible to know what is going to happen from week to week, much less in six months to a year, BUT I am hopeful that the COVID-19 pandemic will be winding down soon. Our dermatology team has aggressively encouraged everyone to get vaccinated as soon as possible for their age group and illness category. I can't see much good that has come from our experience with this horrible virus. We have lost too many family members, friends, and patients. I would be just as happy if I NEVER attended another Zoom meeting. The injection of politics into the interpretation of science has been detrimental on all sides. The economic impact on many physicians, hospitals, restaurants, and shops has been devastating. One good thing...we pulled together as a family in the interest of our medical center, department, and patients. It is the greatest honor of my life to lead this team of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, receptionists, schedulers, and administrators.
